Cat in the box

Braden has discovered that our cat, Sadie, can be a lot of fun....in a box. The other night Sadie crawled into an empty diaper box and fell asleep. The boys had a great time pounding on the box and moving it around the living room. Later, Braden crawled over to the box and stuck his hand in it and Sadie batted at him. He thought this was the funniest thing ever and continued to do it. He had the biggest gut busting laugh I had ever heard. This went on for a good 10 minutes. Then Sadie got sick of him and started to hiss. This is when I told Braden enough cat tormenting for the day! Brock loves Sadie too, but he is actually trying to be nice. He will lay down next to her and pet her until he falls asleep.

Walking by one???

So the big question is: Will the boys be walking by their first birthday??? To tell you the truth I think they will be! Brock for sure! We went to some friends for dinner last night and we were all standing in the kitchen talking. I looked into the living room and my Brockers was standing up pushing a car type toy. He was walking behind it!! This is very exciting!! Although Braden is still doing a combat crawl and not a four point crawl, he is now pulling himself up to standing, I am sure that it won't be too much longer until he is walking behind things pushing them as he goes!!

Life with Twins...

It has been just over a year since I went into preterm labor and came very close to loosing my baby boys. It was very scary for both Thor and I. We definitely were not expecting to stay at the hospital last November when we went for a check up with a specialist. This year Thanksgiving was extra special. It seemed like just last year I was crying because I had to eat my Thanksgiving dinner in bed! It was a small price to pay for my babes. Following my surgery to keep them in and my eleven weeks of bed rest we had two wonderful boys. This past year has changed us completely. Through all the diapers and doctor visits our boys have thrived. Now I take such joy in just watching them interact. They have a special connection, which I am sure everyone has heard about "that twin connection". It is true. Just the other day Brock was sitting in my lap and Braden woke up from his nap. he was crying so my mother in law went to get him and she couldn't get him to calm down. So I took him and kept Brock with me as well. Brock simply took Braden's hand and held it. This calmed Braden right down. It was the sweetest thing I have ever seen. That same night I ran upstairs to go to the bathroom and Brock and Braden crawled into the kitchen, opened the drawer underneath the oven and Braden crawled inside and they were happily playing with cookie sheets and bread pans when I came back downstairs. This happened in a matter of a couple of minutes. I know I am in for double the trouble with those two!! They sit in their highchairs or in the bathtub and laugh at each other. They give each other looks that you know mean that they are plotting something in their little brains. And this is why I started this blog, so I remember all the funny little things they do. Hope you enjoy!
